It all happened right here in the heart of Swaziland... Enthusiastically credited as the best Bushfire yet, the energetic Bushfire Festival 2010, has once again been well received. With a vibrant setting, an excellent line up of performances and a very lively crowd, the philanthropic event has once more been a huge success.
Highly anticipated appearances from the Parlotones, Freshly Ground and award winning actor Richard E. Grant –not to mention the lure of all the famous faces, who would be in the continent for the 2010 FIFA World Cup- managed to attract a record breaking crowds, from every corner of the globe. Audiences were entertained in the Super Stage that hosted the majority of the main acts...While the House on Fire Amphitheatre was a flurry of Acoustic Events, Theatrical Productions, Poetry and Work Shops. This years spectators inducted the brand new "Crop Circle" Stage, unveiled for the first time this year. Besides the wealth of culture and flair that the Festival exhibits, Bushfire is primarily a charity initiative. Attendants are treated to a fusion of arts and entertainment described as one of the only events of its kind on the African Continent," knowing that their participation contributes to a number of worthy causes.
Young Heroes is an Internet-Driven Non Government Organization that answers the plight of Swazilands HIV/AIDS orphans. It supplies over a thousand orphans, with the necessities they need to survive and to keep them integrated with their communities.
The Bushfire Festival promoted Tolerance, Respect, Unity and Harmony. One Song was the theme and the message that the multitudes took home with them.
